Maggie Jenkins

Maggie Jenkins received her B.S. in Environmental Studies from UC Santa Barbara in 2013, and completed her M.S. in Biology at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in 2018. Her graduate thesis research investigated the role of sea otter predation on crabs in regulating the abundance of an invasive fouling bryozoan through a subtidal cage exclusion experiment in Morro Bay, CA. Prior to joining TBF, Maggie worked in environmental consulting and as a Sea Grant Coastal Restoration fellow for the CA State Coastal Conservancy. In her free time, Maggie enjoys hiking and camping to explore California’s beaches, mountains, and lakes, wakeboarding, archery, and making ceramics.
